About the project

This database connects academics, experts, journalists, press officers and media professionals. Its aim is to make academic expertise on environmental sustainability findable and available to researchers, arts, culture and media professionals, charities and industries in Scotland.

We have designed this site with sustainable web design practices in mind and have referred to the W3C’s Web Sustainability Guidelines. On the site, we are using high contrast colours and neutral palates, minimising media uploads, plugins and number of pages, and we are also aiming to have the site load quickly. If you have any suggestions for how we could improve this site in terms of sustainable web design practices, please let us know.
