I joined the Glasgow University Software Service (GUSS) as Assistant Manager in 2021 having held other roles at the University. I manage a range of projects for GUSS, and love supporting student developers to deliver professional project work for customers. Working at GUSS has provided great learning opportunities; in terms of the tech stacks used and the challenges of developing GUSS as a service whilst ensuring that student development teams are well looked after. I enjoy learning about customers’ fields of work and appreciate how the service’s projects can inform students of wider opportunities available to them on graduation.
